There's a whole sort of person who loves a Black & Tan (Guinness either mixed with or floating atop Bass, Smithwick's or some other English style Mild Ale). I prefer a Guinness & Cider, myself.
I just came upon this recipe. It's perfect for the Autumn and especially Halloween. The original recipe called for Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale which is made by Budweiser I figured (since I can't stand any A-B product) to try a quality microbrewed pumpkin ale like Dogfish Head's Punkin Ale.
WOW! The outcome was delish! Try it for yourself. The better the quality of pumpkin ale you use the better the drink will be... more like real pumpkin pie!
